MARINA INDUSTRY LEADERS - Tali Engoitz, a representative of the New Jersey
DEP Coastal Management Office and Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari discuss the
New Jersey Clean Marina program through which marinas voluntarily agree to
meet standards of good management practices above and beyond current state
regulations to help protect coastal water and air quality. Out of
approximately 500 marinas in the state, only nine have been certified to
date. Of those, seven are in Ocean County: Green Cove Marina, Brick,
Silver Cloud Harbor Marina, and Forked River State Marina, both Forked
River, Dillon's Creek Marina, Island Heights Marina, Spencer's Bayside
Marina, Waretown and Robbie's Loveladies Marina. Freeholder Vicari said,
"We can't talk about clean waterways without the support of our marina
industry. I'm am really proud that these Ocean County marinas are leaders
in that effort."
