LIBRARIES & YOU - PERFECT TOGETHER - Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari displays samples of library card designs individuals can select when they enroll in the library system, as Ann Froner, Toms River, senior library assistant, left, and Susan Graham, Lacey, library assistant, look on. The choices include, “Unity,” taken from a mural in the Lakewood Library Branch symbolizing the library’s commitment to diversity; the library blue and white logo which features a schooner as a tribute to the official county seal and a book and Sparks the colorful library mascot, popular among both youngsters and adults. In recognition of Library Card Sign-Up Month Freeholder Director John P. Kelly introduced a resolution inviting those who have yet to become members to join their local library.
