UP, UP AND AWAY - Red-breasted Mergansers take flight over East Point

Ocean County Decoy and Gunning Show in Tuckerton Sept. 29 and 30 held at
Tip Seaman County Park, the Tuckerton Seaport and Pinelands Regional High
School. This year's official 2008 show print contest must feature next
year's bird, the Pintail, and depict a South Jersey landscape with a local
landmark. Entries should be submitted by 10 am Sept. 29 at Pinelands
Regional High School. The heritage event features two full days of
activities including the decoy and boat building contests and Saturday
retriever competitions. Close to 400 vendors and exhibitors adhere to
waterfowling, nature and the maritime themes. Freeholder John C. Bartlett
Jr. has announced the county will continue its policy of free admission,
shuttles, programs, parking, and entertainment. Information is available
