GATEWAY TO THE PINELANDS

Freeholder John C. Bartlett, Jr., right, shows Bob LaTorre, host of Jersey Shore Weekend on WOBM-AM, a view from the deck of the nature center of Jakes Branch County Park which will serve as the county's gateway to the pinelands. The grounds include competition sports fields, tennis courts, a playground and walking trails. Freeholder Bartlett says the park, located in Beachwood, will be the gem of the county system when completed in 2009.
