Friday the Hungarian flag flew over the
Ocean County Administration Building in remembrance of the Hungarian
heritage and their historic fight for freedom. Raising the flag are, from
left, Helen Braeuning, Toms River, Father John Palasits, Whiting, Mary
Balka, Forked River, Lazlo Acs, Whiting, Evelyn Den Bleyker, Whiting,
Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari, Bert Toth, Whiting, who served as
master of ceremonies, Freeholder Gerry P. Little, Ocean County Surrogate
Jeffrey W. Moran and Undersheriff Wayne R. Rupert. Behind them are the
members of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard. The 10th
annual event was sponsored by the American Hungarian Club of Whiting.
