A HOME RUN

A HOME RUN – Minor league baseball and community support is a winning combination in Ocean County say Ocean County Freeholders and representatives of the BlueClaws. Bringing a message of thanks to the freeholders for the county’s support of the South Atlantic League Champions, were (second from left) Geoff Brown, General Manager of the BlueClaws and Jim DeAngelis, (right) the team’s Public Relations Coordinator. Responding in kind were the Board of Freeholders, which recognized the team for not only its winning ways on the field but also in the community and throughout Ocean County. The freeholders from left to right are: Freeholder John P. Kelly, Freeholder Deputy Director Gerry P. Little, Freeholder James F. Lacey, Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari, and Freeholder Director John C. Bartlett Jr. Five former members of the BlueClaws – Ryan Howard, Carlos Ruiz, Antonia Bastardo, Cole Hamels and J.A. Happ – all play for the Philadelphia Phillies as the team heads to the World Series.
