SUBMISSIONS WANTED FOR TOURISM INTERNET DIRECTORY

TOMS RIVER -- Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari is seeking the E-mail addresses and Internet Web sites of businesses and organizations associated with the tourism industry. They will be used in county and state tourism informational directories.

Vicari said, "The Internet is a natural resource for potential visitors. They can get immediate information, 24-hours a day at no cost. We want to make sure that Ocean County accommodations, attractions, historical, environmental and other nonprofit sites, event sponsors, and restaurants are included."

He added, "The tourism industry helps provide a stable tax rate. It also provides many quality activities for our own residents. In addition, tourists support many events sponsored by our nonprofit organizations."

Submissions should include the name of the business, site or organization, address, telephone, FAX, E-mail, Web Site, and the name of a contact person. Send them to Vicari at P. O.Box 2191, Toms River, NJ 08754-2191 or via the Internet at bsteele@co.ocean.nj.us.

Vicari said, "Tourism sites and attractions can send a supply of descriptive brochures, at least 500 pieces, for distribution to the county's tourism information sites. Send them to same post office box or hand deliver them to the Public Affairs Department, County Administration Building, Room 109, 101 Hooper Ave., Toms River or to Wells Mills County Park, 905 Wells Mills Rd., Waretown.
