    Exhibit: From Sea to Shining Sea: 200 Years of Charting America's Coasts, Atrium area, Ocean County Library, 101 Washington Street. This exhibit, donated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibit Service and National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Coast Survey that was commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson after the Lewis and Clark expedition of the Louisiana territory to provide a "complete and accurate chart of every part of the coasts". Ocean County Library will enhance the exhibit with historical documents, including the papers, map collection and publications of Nathanial Holmes Bishop. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
